Fortifikationsverket is looking for a GIS Specialist/GIS Engineer
Fortifikationsverket is looking for a GIS Specialist/GIS Engineer in Eskilstuna or Stockholm. We are seeking someone with education and experience in geographic information and geodata management. Your daily life as a GIS specialist at Fortifikationsverket
Fortifikationsverket is an authority with critical societal operations that is experiencing strong growth. One of our main tasks is to develop fortification competence for total defense. The Technical and Development Unit for Fortification and Properties (TUFF) is responsible for fortification protection and consists of five groups; Program, Technical Supply, Product Development, Construction and Property, and Protection Development, with a total of over 60 employees in various specialist roles.
We are now expanding and looking for a GIS Specialist/GIS Engineer to support the entire authority in GIS matters. You will work with solutions in Fortifikationsverket's GIS platform, which uses ArcGIS Enterprise from ESRI as a base. You will be responsible for developing support and processes related to Fortifikationsverket's GIS operations. You will also support your colleagues with geodata supply and conduct training as well as provide support and assistance to the operations. Travel is included in the position.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university degree as a technical land surveyor, in geodata and geographic IT, or another education that the employer deems relevant. You have experience working with geographic information and broad knowledge of GIS and geodata management. You also have good knowledge of ArcGIS. Furthermore, you have very good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of English, good administrative skills, and experience using administrative IT systems. A valid driver's license (class B) is required.
We view positively if you have worked as a measurement engineer and have knowledge in measurement, calculation, and mapping (MBK). Experience in publishing geographic information in the ArcGIS Enterprise service platform, experience with FME, and programming in Python, JavaScript, or C# is also meritorious. Experience in development work with/in the ArcGIS platform is also seen as an advantage.

About the employment
The position is a permanent employment, and a probationary period may apply. The place of employment is Eskilstuna or Stockholm. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment at Fortifikationsverket is security classified.
